I have not written on here in more than a year.And honestly, I don't really care. I just deleted about half my posts because they were all "yo" and "what's up?" type stuff. I mean, what was wrong with me? I don't remember ever talking like that. I don't remember being so naive and so little. I'm still naive, but anyways.Writing all those stupid, embarassing posts seems like a decade ago. I've been writing a lot of stories lately. I even wrote a book that's 200 pages long. It sucks, but atleast I've finished something. At least. -KayLee

Hm.

Again, I have neglected to post on here for a long time! :)

Last week my biology class went on a little Field Trip to the Bodies Revealed exhibit. It had real bodies on display, which was kind of disturbing, but cool at the same time. It was a lot of fun, we learned a lot AND got to skip a day of school.. haha :)

Also, I have this song stuck in my head -

Harry Potter!!

I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Friday night. AMAZING! Beautiful, fantastic, etc. They left some minor things out : "Potterwatch", Kreacher hitting Mundungus with a pan, Luna's bedroom, Krum talking to Harry at the wedding,the statue of Harry and his parents in Godric's Hollow, etc etc, but over all it was VERY close to the book. :D

Yay!

I just got my copy of the book "Freshwater Boys" signed by the author, Adam Schuitema!!

I recommend that everyone who likes beautiful short stories and have grown up in Michigan to read this book! It's amazing!

Author visit! :D

The author Adam Schuitema (who wrote "Freshwater Boys") is visiting the bookstore I work at! :D :D
Can't wait!

Woah

I really haven't posted something in a while...
I've been so busy with school and stuff...

Ever changing, aging world of mine

Green skies and blue fields
It's a whole nother world
Pink leaves and purple wood
It's a world divine.

Nothing is new, nothing is old
nothing really goes away.
Atleast, that's what they all say,
in this world of mine.

But one day I'm diggin, in the soft, yellow earth
and i find a bone or too,
brown and fosslfied.
How can this not be old?

I look at my hands for the first time,
in a long time.
They are bony, with scars and ragged lines
from ages ago.

So how could i not be aged
from that time they told me so?
I cleaned the bones and then held them tight,
and took them to the "master" of sight.

He said to not wonder any more,
about these wonderous things.
He said to throw my bones away,
and go play with the children today.

But a man walked out of a tent just then,
with ragged brown hair and tan skin.
He was a different person, i concluded.
Everyone elese's skin was soft blue.

He beckoned me toward a spaceship,
something i had only seen on holograms
He loaded me on, and i froze in amazement.
Here were the things i had just been asking about for ages!

Me and the man road for hours, through a dark night
loaded with stars and frightening sights.
Colors my eyes had never seen exploded in the air before us,
and rocks floated unweightlessly.

When we landed i was scared.
What were these green trees and grass?
What were these blue skies and
tan skinned people?

I saw children playing in the sand, and flying kites over the land
I saw children splashing in the water,screaming in delight,and sharing with eachother.

Why, this world is not so different from mine,
i thought.
The colors might be different,
but the people are the same.

One lil boy walked up to meand asked me how
old i was
but i was not familiar with the question-
How old was I?

All the people here knew about history
and the aging times.
But at home, all was a mystery,
an enigma.

I wanted to stay here,
where everything was simple and happy.
Where the sky woke up in pink and red,
and the grass dried a rusty yellow.

I struggled against the man's grip
and asked him if i could stay
but my world was waiting for me,he said,
it was waiting for me to make a change

So we traveled back through time and space,
and when i looked in the mirror i saw an older face,
a face with knowing eyes
and pale blue skin, but a human face, nonetheless.

When i got home the villagers crowded around me,
pushing and pulling,
yellowing and screaming,
providing me with a headache.

i pulled a leaf from my pocket,
a green one, freckled with brown.
They quieted, shushing one another,
trying to get a better look.

I told them about the other world,
the differences, and the sameness of us all.
I told them about how happy and free,
how nothing there was a mystery.

i told them we could change it for us here,
that we could make it the same here.
I told them about how the people there
wouldwanna come to our world instead.

Blue skies and green fields
it's a whole nother world.
Green leaves and brown wood,
It's a changing, ever changing, other world of mine.
